When you are in Spirituality, you must not hesitate to say that you appreciate and enjoy life in a positive way. Every opportunity to enjoy life must be seized and you should live with joy and enthusiasm and stop mourning about your past.

You need not keep on mourning over your past defeats. Never say that you have not seized the opportunity to do things properly or you have failed in life. Whenever you get the chance to do good things, you lose your time in gossiping, arguing, digging into the past, contributing in futile conversations, speaking maliciously or creating doubts. You grab every single chance to refute, and outdo things in zeal. It has been your choice to lead such a selfish life. You have always used abusive languages and cursed everyone. At times, you do get the chance to appreciate life but you ironically turn away from it, under the pretext of lacking time. You generally ignore people who are ill and when the news of their deteriorating health comes to you, qualms haunt you. You chose everything, except the path that you know you must tread on so as to live happily, peacefully and in harmony. Hence you indulge yourself in turmoil. It is by choice that you get depressed. You tend to rebuke the true spiritual values of life. You make yourself a victim of torture and get irritated. You cause sufferings to innocent people, who want to live happily.

Being experienced, you must know the taste of a defeat. Hence, live all moments positively and plan for the future. Getting worried unnecessarily is not a solution. Learn to plan your routine. With a proper planning, your task will definitely become easy and you will be assured of not getting further problems.

Always think before you act. Use your brain to distinguish between the right and the wrong. Only then will you be successful in making the right choice. Never keep on postponing a task. Do it immediately. Never wait for tomorrow or else, you may regret for not having done it at the right time. If you have to visit a sick person, do not wait for tomorrow or it may be too late.

Forgiving is radical an extension of the primary truth underlying all reality, namely that everything in the Universe is an expression of a singularity which I choose to call Source and most others call God, and as such everything in the Universe is interconnected.

Radical forgiveness is based upon the simple premise that the ‘dark’ or shadow aspects of our psyche which we need to acknowledge and heal are reflected for us in those who have significant impact on our lives – be they lovers, spouse, work colleagues, children, parents, friends, mentors or so called enemies. As Tipping quite rightly pointed out: “if you spot it (a behavior trait) in others, then you have got it. (Yourself).”

The word ‘acknowledge’ here means that whenever we try to deny something we don’t like it by pretending that it does not exist in us, we should invalidate it. To invalidate means “to render having no effect”, but the great irony is that as soon as we attempt to invalidate something it immediately demands attention to be validated. The reason for this is simple. From the perspective of the essential ‘ONENESS’ pervading the Universe, separation is an illusory ‘artificial’ state requiring a huge amount of energy to maintain. When we suppress something by discrediting it, we think the issue has gone away, but this is a delusion because the issue will inevitably reappear at some stage to be acknowledged and validated and this process cannot be avoided. Invalidation is a bit like trying to stop the flow of a stream; it can be achieved for a little while, but eventually the weight of water builds up and overwhelms us and continues to flow in accordance with the natural law of balance.

If you stop what you are doing for a few moments and simply listen to what is happening inside, you will discover that a lot of the time you are having an inner dialogue with yourself. Should we do what others suggests now, or should we do it later. Look, listen, concentrate on this, it’s important.

We create our own reality by keeping a dialogue going with ourselves about our world and what we perceive or imagine is happening. This is not necessarily a bad thing because it helps keep us grounded and able to relate to other people and the world in general. The problem is when we get caught up with this inner dialogue and forget there is anything else. If we learn to turn off the inner dialogue we can reach a place of silence in which we contact our real inner power and purpose. We reach the world behind images, thoughts, fantasies, feelings, sensations and so on.

There are many ways of doing this, and it appears as the central theme in most practical teachings. For a shaman, there is no more important goal than turning off the inner dialogue. Indeed Don Juan tells Carlos Castaneda that this is the most important goal in sorcery, for when it is achieved everything else becomes possible. In the Western Mystery Tradition, the same aim is described as one-pointedness. It is claimed that any thought which is held in this state of silence becomes a definite command since there are no other thoughts to compete with it.

In yoga, there are various practices which lead to the same goal. Firstly there is asana, controlling the body through various postures, then yama and niyama for controlling emotional reactions, then dharana for controlling the mind. These techniques have the single aim of achieving dhyana – which is turning off the inner dialogue, reaching a still, silent place within. Dhyana is the original root of the word zen, and the main aim of zen meditation is the same – to stop the rational mind and reach states beyond the incessant questioning, thinking and reasoning which holds us back from our inner peace and true identity. In Taoism the aim is again the same: in the Tao Teh Ching we are told that the tao resembles the emptiness of space; to employ it we must avoid creating an inner dialogue, which we can do through `making our sharpness blunt’.

Sometimes it become so difficult to say a ‘NO’ even to people you love. It’s often very difficult to say what you want. Sometimes you don’t even know exactly what you want until much later. You say yes and then realize that you had no desire to be in the yes. It doesn’t give you a door or window out of the same rut/cycle. Thus, It becomes very important to have a control on what we need to say and we actually say, to have a control on when to say no.

Our filters are based on “should’s” and the more of these you have the more you will not be able to say no easily. When you are looking outside yourself for anything you need then you are not able to say no. Trying to fix someone else before yourself can get you into the yes before no.

Rushing is a form of violence towards ourselves and others. Every time you rush with your answer you have the potential of saying yes when you mean no.

Take a breath after someone asks you for something. Take 3 breaths if you need. It doesn’t have to be the next day but a few breaths give space. When you have space you have charm and you will then make better yes decisions. Breath pause and breath and then give your answer.

Nonetheless one thing should always be remembered that when to write and re-write your own history by saying what you truly want the very first time.

Communication is the best way to express ourselves, to relate with others and to live amicably in society. One of the deterrents to good communication is anger. A feeling of emptiness always follows anger. The only way to get away with this anger is to just let it go and rejoice.

Anger takes all that you have within you and so you are left vacuous and dissipated in its wake. Different methods are there to help us tackle our anger, but that is only anger management. It does not get to the root.

To combat anger we have to understand the reasons for it before treating it. A verse in the Gita says that our sense organs are always seeking sensory pleasures and objects that give pleasure. The seeking develops into an attachment, even an obsession. Naturally, then you like to possess that which you desire and in the desire to possess, anger has its roots. The desire to possess may be related to a person, object or situation.

Till the desire is fulfilled, anger comes to support in the struggle to possess. It may come as a means of self-defense but

becomes so powerful that it makes you forget your moorings and gradually even your memory. You lose touch with yourself. You forget who you are. That is why when a person is angry he behaves in a fashion that is uncharacteristic of him. A good example is road rage.

An angry man has poor memory. With loss of memory, by losing touch with yourself, by forgetting who you really are, you lose your mental balance. You no longer think straight. The root cause for all this is desire. You have to let go this desire.

True, it is difficult to live a life completely free of anger. But once we are aware of the cause of anger and the route it takes to ruin our life, we become wary of getting angry. Krishna who was giving the above advice – he did know that it is

If you are deepldifficult to follow. Yet, because it is difficult to follow, we cannot forget about it. We have to remember it at all times as the reason why simple life and living have been held in such high esteem. That is why our life and philosophy have been formulated such that we keep desire to its minimum.

y satisfied, then, there are no expectations, no desires. That is why the Ishavasya Upanishad says Tena tyaktena bhunjita — Let it go and rejoice. When you let go, your dimensions are becoming bigger. It is difficult to let go, but small attempts can definitely be made.

What should one let go? One should let go of all hurtful and painful memories. Stop carrying anything of yesterday into today. Otherwise regret and pain follow us like shadows. Life itself has a tendency to let it go, then why are we clinging to thoughts and ideas of the past? If we let go, there is peace instantaneously, then why carry that burden?

I find that when I meet people for the first time, there is difficulty in communication. That is because we are each clinging to an image of ourselves. We are not communicating from within. Once we let go of that image, we are open and are able to communicate immediately. Even if one person lets go, the other will also automatically do so sooner than later. This will also prevent the veil of anger from ever obstructing the mind.

The term Spiritual emergence covers many types of spiritual experiences, in that it could be an activated kundalini, it may mean a very dramatic emergence into what is known as a spiritual emergency, or simply as previously mentioned a spiritual emergence, which is generally a softer emergence and less traumatic. It moves into the emergency category when it becomes hard or impossible to function in everyday life.

Spiritual Emergence has been defined as”the movement of an individual to a more expanded way of being that involves enhanced emotional and psychosomatic health, greater freedom of personal choices, and a sense of deeper connection with other people, nature, and the cosmos. An important part of this development is an increasing awareness of the spiritual dimension in one’s life and in the universal scheme of things.”

Many cases of spiritual emergence are and have been classified as being bipolar disorder. Let’s put it in terms everyone can understand. Bipolar disorder is an illness that affects thoughts, feelings, perceptions and behaviour … even how a person feels physically. It’s probably caused by electrical and chemical elements in the brain not functioning properly and is usually found in people whose families have a history of one or more mental illnesses. To be clear about this: a mental illness is one that affects the mind, not one that’s all in the mind.

Most often, a person with manic-depression experiences moods that shift from high to low and back again in varying degrees of severity. The two poles of bipolar disorder are mania and depression. This is the least complicated form of the illness.

A traumatic breakdown in a relationship, losing a job, losing a partner or child, a car accident, are amongst the most common triggering events.. It takes very little to bring us to the edge. Society as we know it, has started to fail us as individuals. We no longer have the local support of the extended family, our connection to church, in what ever form it takes, is fragile, as are the institutions themselves. We find we are on our own, alone with our suffering.

If you are ambitious, then your mind is bound to remain restless. If you want peace, then the first requirement is to drop all ambition. Unless you drop ambition you cannot be at ease, at peace, you cannot be relaxed.

Just watch people who have succeeded in the world and you will drop the idea of success. Nothing fails like success. Although you have been told that nothing succeeds like success, I say to you that nothing fails like success. Happiness has nothing to do with success, happiness has nothing to do with ambition, happiness has nothing to do with money, power, prestige. It is a totally different dimension.

To live without meditation is to be foolish, because whatsoever you do then is going to be wrong. You cannot do right without meditation because right only grows in the soil of meditation. In the soil of the mind ambitions, desires arise. And when there is ambition there is competition, and when there is competition you are not a friend to others. You are an enemy and others are your enemies. The competitive mind lives in an inimical way, lives in hatred, lives in jealousy; its whole function is out of jealousy. And because of this kind of life man suffers, he remains in misery.

Become still — not a forced stillness, not a practiced and cultivated stillness — become still naturally. Understanding the futility of desire, seeing the absolute absurdity of ambition, become still — through understanding, not through practice.

How to find joy? Let your ambition disappear; ambition is the barrier. Ambition means an ego trip: “I want to be this, I want to be that — more money, more power, more prestige.” But remember, Buddha says: THE WINNER SOWS HATRED BECAUSE THE LOSER SUFFERS. LET GO OF WINNING AND LOSING AND FIND JOY. If you want to find joy, forget about winning and losing. Life is a play, a game. Play it beautifully, forget all about losing and winning. The real sportsman’s spirit is not that of winning or losing, it is not his real question. He enjoys playing; that is the real player. If you are playing to win, you will play with tension, anxiety. You are not concerned with the play itself, its joy and its mystery; you are more concerned with the outcome. This is not the right way to live in the world.

The more meditative you become, the less ambitious you will be. There is no question of fulfilling ambitions; ambition will start disappearing from your consciousness.

This moment is all. Buddha insists very much: Live in the moment. And desire does not allow you to live in the moment. And you go on repeating the same things, you move in circles. Just watch your life, look back. You have been moving in circles: the same anger, the same sex, the same greed, the same ambition, the same postponement and the same desiring mind. When are you going to wake up?

What is enlightenment? — the insight that desire is futile, that ambition is illness. Then suddenly you are thrown back to the present moment. To be in the present is to be enlightened. To be now and to be here is to be enlightened.

Mind is politics, because mind is ambitious and ambition is the root of politics. If you are ambitious you are political. Your ambition may take the form of religion, but the politics is there. Then you are competing with other saints.

Man cannot live without politics, because of the mind. You are brought up, you are trained to be political. Every child is poisoned from the very beginning, poisoned by ambition. We teach children to be ambitious: be somebody in the world, be somebody special, somebody superior, defeat others! We give the idea to every child that life is a struggle and only the fittest survive. Whether you survive by right or wrong means, that is not important.

This is the case with you in so many lives. You have lived the same kind of life again and again — the same desire, the same greed, the same ambition — and each time you were frustrated, but again you are ready to become a victim. It is exactly like dreams.

Buddha introduced the idea that young people should become sannyasins. Then it is something significant. When a young person goes beyond sex, when a young person goes beyond desires, when a young person goes beyond greed, ambition, the longing to be powerful, the ambition to be famous, then it is something tremendously meaningful, significant. Remember one thing: when you are young you have energies. Those energies can take you to hell and those same energies can take you to heaven. Energies are neutral; it depends on you how you use them.

We are very much afraid, and the fear arises because we have believed, we have been told again and again, hypnotized to believe in the ego. This whole social structure up to now, hitherto, has been propounding an egoistic life attitude. Then fear, then greed, then ambition, are natural. And ego is being taught to every child; his ego is strengthened so that you can make him ambitious. Out of ambition arises politics. Ego is created so that you can make him afraid. Out of fear arises religion — the so-called religion.

Each child is poisoned by the society through teaching him ambition. Ambition is a poison far more dangerous than any alcohol can ever be, far more dangerous than marijuana or LSD, because ambition destroys your whole life. It keeps you moving in a false direction. It keeps you imagining, desiring, dreaming, it keeps you wasting your life. Ambition means a subtle creation of the ego, and once the ego is created you are in the grip of darkness. And the whole social structure depends on ambition. Be the first! Wherever you are, whatsoever you are doing: be the first! — as if being the first has something divine about it. By what means you become the first is irrelevant. By right means or wrong means, succeed! As if success in itself has become equivalent to life, synonymous with life. Life has nothing to do with success. Success keeps you rushing towards the future and that becomes your intoxicant. Hoping, hoping for the tomorrow, wasting that which you have or that which you don’t have and will never have.

“They are here together with their Guardians (Angels), and all are amazed at how we operate. All have come from worlds that have long known how desperately troubled our world has been, and still is. Most have come from settled planets, where it was possible for the majority of mortals to discuss in detail, and with their Spirit Selves, the best way to go, and what to do in any circumstance.

“Therefore, most of these distinguished and welcome visitors hardly ever had the need to speak with celestial teachers as is here the case, and will be so for generations to come. They show a keen interest in the procedures of our celestial to human contact – our methods and ways. We also learn from them.

“They are students and tutors – lecturers – visitors and diplomats, all, but they are true ambassadors for their ‘origin planets’ first and foremost, as am I, as are you an ambassador. And so on this evening you are a kind of novelty to them, and I brought them here to meet my family. That’s you, George! Family!

“They are here to observe us at our task in these early efforts, as they surround us, reach out, and ‘touch us’ both, to return and inform (others) about the work the Urantia receivers/transmitters are performing. To learn and teach is now their station in life – to inform about the kinds of tasks you and I have undertaken.

“We too, are ambassadors. You and I and all those who record and disseminate our brief conversations are ambassadors for the Father, Michael, Mother Spirit, and we do it in our way, by being us – personalities, individuals, unique in our own ways, as we disseminate our talks to the ‘foreigners’ that live all around you.

“I talk tongue-in-cheek about ‘foreigners’, George, because many (people) still think we are the strangest of creatures in our talking with each other across the time barrier, and many of them would also be very frightened if they perceived us in any way. And so, indeed, the receivers and ‘telepathic viewers’ are ambassadors when they broadcast our messages from Michael far and wide.

“You receivers proclaim His proposals for a peaceful world, His suggestions for your getting along with each other, His advice regarding soul growth for so many, the truth about the Father’s unending love for all, and this makes you ambassadors, each and all of you who pass on these communiqués, even to one person at a time.

“We are family, brother. We are siblings who amused ourselves in sharing the same sandbox. We overran the bathtub together, played hooky from school together, and poured honey into our father’s Sunday shoes. We are ambassadors now, who choose to follow Michael’s ways by placing our moccasins in His footprints, with every step, and all the way.

“And as we follow after Him, we will soon be with Him, and as we realize His immediate presence, he will point ahead to the goal of the ages – the attainment of the Father. And still we must remain who we are, and hold dear our individuality, talents and gifts, and draw ever closer to each other as we draw closer to Him in love.

“Well, we spoke for a long time, you and I, friends of long standing. With great courage, focus and perseverance over the years, undeterred by the misleading counsel of some, we celebrate our good family life of many misunderstandings, few arguments and unending devotion to each other. This is Sharmon, who loves you.

“We can all go now. See you later.”

“When you are born into this world, you find yourself naked and alone, and divorced from all you know and comprehend. The journey of your life is to piece together that from which you came, that which you are, and that which you will become.

“There are veils around you in all ways, forging a barrier between you and your true Divine Self, between you and your colleagues, and between you and your own sense of the reality that sits beneath that which you perceive; yet with care, effort and love within your heart, you start to chip away at those veils to discover yourself and the wondrous entities that share their worlds with you, forging the veil into a new structure, no longer a barrier, but a device to allow you the wonder of experience life fully on earth.

“Do not be distressed by your apparent separation from that which you feel as home, but instead delight in the glory of all that is on Earth, which you are unable to experience in any other place within this universe. If you saw already what the true nature of reality was then you would be stripped of the wondrous motion towards perfection and of the childlike delight formed when discovering that which is new to your perceptions.

“Think of this life as a game, a game in which there are no losers and many, many different paths to the final stage. It’s a game of exploration, of fun, of joy and of sorrow, and like all good games it would not be exciting without fear, apprehension and anxiety at times.

“These moments help to stand you in good stead for a future as Divine Being, to empathize and understand those still encompassed within the lowest planes of the ascendant mortals.

“Know every move has been calculated and its potential assessed, though it remains your own will, which dictates which potential is followed. We delight in progressing our paths alongside you, watching the way you tackle emergency and trauma, and comforting you when it all becomes too much.

“Know that your efforts, always valiant, are noted and recorded, and when the time comes to look back on your lessons you will often see that those which form the greatest part of your ‘learnings’ are the ones that passed unnoticed within your own times.

“In all that you are, and all that you can be, you are perfected beings finding the way of will in a world of dichotomy and inconsistency. Each turn you take is a marvel and part of God’s plan to experience how life becomes itself when separated from all that it already knows.

“Feed from the light of the sun, find sustenance in your communion with others, and look to the heavens for inspiration and fortitude. We are by your side and we will never leave you until your journey on this plane is through.

“By the morning, all will be clear.”
