One must experience what love means to their own being through the infinite capacity of life experiences and not just through only philosophical pondering. In respect, one must learn what hate means to their own being and how imposing hate to others can affect oneself and the other – other being another person,animal, the earth, etc.

there are 2 kinds of love. the 1st one osho’s talking about is the ego love, which is basically ‘fear’ and in that respect another colour of hate, i can see that it’s 2 sides of 1 coin. but it has nothing to do with authentic love. so how can you say everything is one?

We are taught to hate from the earliest age, by the time we are in kindergarten we have a PHD in hate. Have you ever gotten a snobby, disapproving look from some yuppie and then look down at their 2 year old and see the same hatred monkeyed on the childs face?

@melissawells pretty much, we’ve been programmed and taught how to love by societal standards(i.e. marriage, dating, courtship.) But no one will teach you how to hate. So you find your own undiluted way to hate. It is unique to your spirit on how you hate. Which should be the goal for love. You should find a natural way to love. Not whats expected of you.

Melissa- In my understanding, there is no need to categorisize your energies. They all float from the same center, that is you. As with all other energies; Hate gets ugly only when you try to block it. Don’t fool yourself in this one. When you are angry BE ANGRY. To be in love is to be true. To be true is to be natural. To be natural you have to be brave.
