My perspective: The legal system, helpful or not, is unnatural and limits freedom, it causes ties in your life, ties which create lies because man is too proud to admit when he is wrong. Man is so proud that he must create a legal ceremony to boast to family and peers that the relationship is strong…Surely, real love would not need an economic ceremony to assure its strength together….TRUTH: Marriage is a crutch for those without strength to face truth, and it is failing.

Osho’s right.
These are OSHO’s views on the meaning of the word ‘marriage’. It seems that he can only find the worst in such human relationships, whereas there are a great many marriages that are very happy and peaceful. If OSHO advances the ‘spiritual freedom’ card as part of his argument, he is completely missing the point about marriages as spiritual companionships. I’m not talking about material attachments, but inner, spiritual connectedness. Sorry OSHO Inc., I don’t buy your argument.

Very interesting… Freedom is the ultimate value, when u lose it, through marriage or other institutions, you realise its importance… There is nothing higher than freedom… Marriage is absolutely absurd and unnatural… It destroys sex and love…. Have many sex partners and live a free life….
In my opinion absurd is to live with one person forever as in jail. Isn’t that absurd that you only aloud to to give love to one person? It’s like saying I am only going to love one cat or one child. That is the biggest absurd of all. The whole concept of sex and family is abnormal and unnatural in our society. I think our problem is not family i think it’s deeper. Family is by product of our sex starvation, of sex separation of genders, that causes many if not all psychological abnormalities.
Watch K-PAX. You see your opinion is formed on the world that we live in today, where egoistic people trying to posses one another, trying to complete one another, because they think they are incomplete and they need this one person to make them whole. When we will cure our society then what OSHO is saying is possible on the grand scale, but for now I am sure there many communes that practice that.
Osho words are always very interesting. Of course each one has his own mind and can agree or desagree with some of his statements. It desn’t matter. Just be conscient. Follow yourself, not OSHO or anyone else, he said.
Verry well said. This is such an abvious thing. It was already studied by Wilhelm Reich, for example. The neurotic society is mainly created by sexual repression. Hard to see? Too many puppets…

Osho has no business. he simply want to change humanity. he simply want people to become aware. he don’t want anyone to follow him. secondly no one can contentedly with marriage. it is impossible. everyone is capable of loving many people. you cannot love one person alone.
